Missions Conference Guests
Dr. and Mrs. Schettler, Peter Blake, Pastor and Mrs. Herron
During the 2010 Missions Conference at Harvest Baptist Church, a number of guests have had the opportunity to minister and be ministered to during this special week of meetings. Dr. Jim Schettler, Pastor of First Baptist Church in Santa Maria, California and his wife Marilee along with a team of seniors from Valley Christian Academy in Santa Maria have had multiple opportunities to minister and challenge the local church body. During each service, Pastor Schettler has spoken on different topics related to missions from “How to Roll Away Stones so Christ can Give the Dead Life,” to “The Most Important Word in Prayer.” During each service, the VCA students have helped minister to the children during the “Get Out of the Bleachers and Into the Game” children’s program in the Family Life Center. Pastor Schettler and the students have have also ministered during the week in HCA and HBBC/I chapel. Not only have the VCA seniors helped but they have also been able to enjoy the island of Guam during what is also their Senior Trip. The students have gone on hikes and plan to enjoy jet skiing and a boat trip on the ocean later in the week. Also joining us during the conference is Missionary Peter Blake from Australia who has spoken in chapel at HCA, shared about his ministry during the Tuesday night service, and recorded a future radio interview for KHMG.
Valley Christian Academy Senior Class Trip
