Honor Choir Concert
The elementary Honor Choir of Harvest Christian Academy presented a colorful and musical treat for parents and guests during a special concert on Friday evening, January 29. The evening began with a taste of music from Korea, Japan, the Philippines, Taiwan, and Guam. Students dressed in colorful attire that represented the country of origin of the song they were singing. The brief musical trip through this part of the world was followed by the Honor Choir’s presentation of a Chinese musical “The Legend of the Many Suns.” As the choir sang the story of why the rooster calls to the sun each morning, students also acted out the musical story. Under the direction of Miss Lisa Flower, the Honor Choir provided a colorful and interesting trip throughout Asia and this part of the world, all without ever leaving the island of Guam.
