Family Bible Hour
The service on Sunday evening, January 31, at Harvest Baptist Church was a great example of what makes the Family Bible Hour so unique and so enjoyable. The evening began with the testimonies of those who were following the Lord in Believer’s Baptism–Nisteria Erra, Adam Henley, Sam Setik, and Miles Herron. A little bit later, a drama was presented which depicted the life of Luther Rice, a “difference maker” who was not nearly as well known as other missionaries of his day, but who’s work behind the scenes was incredibly important. Also during this service, Pastor Herron asked Doug and Karen Abels to share with the church family about the current medical situation involving their son Jake which will also soon involve a trip to the United States to seek medical treatment. Pastor Herron shared a brief challenge with a reminder that “If we take care of the depth of our ministry, God will take care of the breadth of our ministry.” The Family Bible Hour also included special music, congregational singing, and works of God testimonies and was a great way to close out Sunday and begin a new week.
