Harvest Hosts Community Event
For three days in November the Family Life Center at Harvest was converted into an excellent venue for the first Forensic Science Symposium to be held on Guam. The event was designed for law enforcement and criminal investigation personnel from Guam but was open to the public and also included visitors from Australia and islands in the Pacific region. The symposium brought together political, law enforcement, legal, and criminal justice leaders from Guam plus a variety of presenters from the U. S. mainland considered experts and leaders in their respective fields. Friends of the Crime Lab and the Guam Community College helped to organize the event while the Harvest maintenance, food service, and audio-visual teams helped with the myriad number of details involved in making sure the attendees had a profitable time and insuring that the Symposium was a success. The Seniors of HCA were also involved in helping with the event as a means to help raise funds for their class trip in the Spring. You can read former Guam Senator Frank Ishizaki’s letter to the Pacific Daily News concerning the Forensics Symposium HERE.
