Patriotic Day
September 11, 2009: The K5 students in Mrs. Schallhorn’s class at Harvest Christian Academy have a special day planned for Friday. To prepare for Patriotic Day, the students first created a U. S. flag using their hands which were covered in either blue or red paint. On Friday, students will have the opportunity to learn what the different colors of the flag mean. They will also learn the meaning of bravery, courage, and patriotism and then discuss how the military serves our country and helps to preserve freedom. Mrs. Schallhorn and the students will also take time on Friday to pray for our country and president.
