HCA K5 Graduation
Tuesday, May 19, 2009: The kindergarten classes of Mrs. Schallhorn and Miss Penick were joined by family, friends, and Harvest faculty and staff as the students celebrated their accomplishments in K5. The evening began with the adorable graduates on stage in the Harvest Sanctuary wearing blue gowns singing “The Hello Song” and “I’ve Been Working in Kindergarten.” Then Mrs. Schallhorn’s students demonstrated their reading and counting skills while singing more fun songs. Miss Penick’s class quoted a Bible verse and sang about Noah while also sharing their new knowledge in the area of science. Then it was time for each student to march across the platform and receive recognition for a job well done. The ceremony concluded with a couple more songs including a Biblical reminder that even a child is known by his doings. After guests enjoyed a photo montage from the year, everyone gathered in the Family Life Center for a reception with cake, fruit, and beverages. For photos of the entire evening, CLICK HERE.
