HCA Tri-M Assembly
Tri M stands for Modern Music Masters. It is an organization for students who have a passion for music and excel in music. In order to be in Tri M, a student must have an A in all their music classes or groups, an A/B in all other classes and be involved in at least two musical organizations. Tri-M doesn’t only promote music, but it also promotes responsibility, diligence, and orderliness. Students in Tri-M are considered leaders in their musical groups and are expected to maintain a higher level of responsibility than other students. Each year the Tri M students volunteer to help out at local concerts and recitals. Tri M students also perform a recital for the high school. This gives the Tri M students a chance to show-case their musical skills. They spend hours practicing their musical piece so that they can preform it in for their classmates. This year for the recital, the organization pulled together a percussion ensemble, a guitar duet, several piano solos, a violin duet, a horn solo and a viola solo. The students involved feel an overwhelming sense of accomplishment after the recital is over. One goal of the recital is to inspire other students to pick up an instrument and learn how to play it as well as open more hearts to music and inspire students to achieve greater things.
