HCA Pilgrim and Indian Day
Wednesday, November 26, 2008: Piligrim and Indian day is always a special day and marks the beginning of the holiday season at HCA as the campus is filled with little pilgrims and little indians getting a head start on the Thanksgiving holiday. In what has become an annual tradition, a majority of students come to school on the last day before the Thanksgiving break dressed up as pilgrims and indians and enjoy a delicious Thankgiving feast. The feast is provided by the senior class of HCA as part of thier ongoing efforts to raise funds for the senior trip in the spring of 2009. This year’s feast included the traditional staples of turkey and potatoes, but also featured oranges, soda, and a chocolate chip cookie. The excitement of the day continued through to carline as the students were dismissed early for the Thanksgiving break. But before they headed home for the holiday, a number of them were captured in photos which you can view when you Click Here.

This brings back so many memories. My sister and I did this back in the early 80’s. We went there in elementary/middle school. Which makes me old, but not as old as Mr. Herron who was my college professor!!! ANyways HCA holds a very special place in my heart. My mother Sharon Albee taught k-3 there a long time ago. Thanks so much for having this website because it brings back special memories., esp the one about John Lewis leading my father to the Lord back in Sept 1979!!! By the way the church was brown, then blue during my time!!!!
