Clean Pickin’ Concert
November 14, 2008: Unlike anything ever experienced at Harvest, Friday night’s Clean Pickin’ Concert with the Steve Pettit Evangelistic Team was a spectular and fun-filled way to close out a great week at Harvest. After the Harvest operational staff built an outdoor venue for the concert, hundreds of people filtered down to the lower soccer field while the sun set on a beautiful tropical afternoon. As the sun faded away, children could be found playing on the ballcourt, inflatable jumper, and the playground equipment while adults relaxed and enjoyed the hot dogs, popcorn, melon, and soft drinks. The pace of the quiet and relaxing evening picked up once Steve Pettit and the team took the stage to perform a variety of Cajun, Irish, and Bluegrass music, as well as hilarious selections like “If My Nose Was Running Money” and “Ya’ll Come!” Before the concert came to a close, Evangelist Pettit took a moment to share his personal salvation testimony. Then it was time for a few more songs. Unfortunately, the excellent music and humorous hijinks came to a close much too soon. Although the concert is over, the memories will last for a long time…as will the photos of the event, which you can take a look at when you Click Here.
